Campus Information

WiFi Access

As usual, Eduroam will be available within the lecture room hosting the meeting. If for some reason you are unable to connect, visitor WiFi is also available via O2. Information on how to connect as a visitor can be found here.

Venue

The meeting will take place in the Pevensey 1 building, leacture room Pevensey 1A7. The address is 94 N - S Road, Falmer, Brighton, BN1 9 RQ. Pinned on google maps here. The building is also highlighted on the interative map below.

Bars, Resturants and Food

During the meeting, lunch will be provided on each day. But there are lots of cafes on campus if you want to go elsewhere (there is also a pub about a 10 minute walk away in the local village).

In terms of eating in the evenings, the conference dinner will occur on the first day of the meeting. However, many of you will likely arrive the day before the start of the meeting. Brighton has a very good selection of pubs and restaurants to choose from. See the map below for some LOC recommendations in central Brighton.

Accessability Information

Unfortunately our campus is not ideal for those with mobility problems.

Check the website AccessAble to find out how to access our buildings if, for instance, you are using a wheelchair or walking aid. You can jump straight to the Sussex page on AccessAble here. This site is also useful for checking venues and travel routes around Brighton as well.

There are map plinths around campus (see below), which you can use to find buildings while you're on the move or in a hurry.

Example of a campus plinth map

You can also pick up a printed map at most reception desks on campus, including Sussex House. The printed map is a better option for wheelchair users on campus as the map plinths are at standing height. All versions of the map indicate step-free routes, steep paths and lifts within buildings.
